    CAF Update June 21

    posted 2 days ago

    Hello CAF,

Happy Father’s Day! I bet you can guess what I’m doing this Father’s Day… I’m going flying.

It looks like it may be a little breezy this weekend, but Sunday appears to be our best day with the lighter winds. I plan to be out around 1:00.

I took care of the mowing yesterday. Wow, the field is dry. A lot of the grass is already starting to go drought dormant. I also gave the potty a much-needed sponge bath. Things are looking good out there.

Next weekend is the Helicopter Fly-In. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help with the event. Tony said everything is covered and ready to go. Unfortunately, I will miss it this year. I leave for work travel on Tuesday and will be gone for three weeks. Jim will be handling the next three weekly emails while I’m away.

Hope everyone has a great Father’s Day,

    See u at the field

    CAF Update June 6

    posted 2 weeks ago

    Hello CAF,

Jim and I were out at the field yesterday, wow, what a beautiful day. Today and Sunday are looking just as nice, with only a little more breeze.

The rain forecast for Saturday night should help water in the weed-and-feed that was applied to the field yesterday. Tony also cut the grass, so I’d say the field received a full maintenance on Friday. It’s looking great.

Patty has a few things planned for us today, so I plan to be out on Sunday.  looking forward to seeing everyone.

There is one small schedule change. The Helicopter Fun Fly planning meeting has been moved to June 14th. Please plan to attend so you can find out where you may be able to help. I’ll have Tony send out a list of volunteer opportunities before the meeting, but we'll discuss everything in more detail on the 14th.

    See u at the field
